Important Covid -19 Guidelines for Unaffiliated Dressage Competitions at the Avon Centre

Everyone attending competitions at our Centre has responsibility to ensure that Covid -19 social distancing and hygiene rules are followed for the safety of themselves and others. As a Centre that provides varied opportunities to people of all ages with a wide range of additional needs, we are committed to providing a safe environment for ALL in these difficult times.

Please do not come to the Centre if you have any of the following symptoms: a high temperature, or a new persistent cough – these are the main symptoms of coronavirus.

A 2 metre distance must be observed at all times from anyone on the premises. By entering any event you are agreeing to abide by our guidelines.

Please park horse transport vehicles responsibly well-spaced apart either on the gravel area on the left of the driveway or on the tarmac area to the right of the indoor arena. Cars must be parked separately from lorries and trailers to maximise space for horse transport.

Hand sanitiser will be available and we ask you to please use it before entering the indoor arena (via the doors half way down the right hand side of arena) to watch a test, or the main building via the entrance on the far right by the stables to access the one toilet that will be in use if required.

Please avoid congregating near the table at the main entrance, where you can place your orders and pay by card only for drinks and food – there is no access to the rest of the main building.

We may allocate a slightly longer time for each test to allow judges to work without a writer when necessary and will be limiting the number of entries for each Class.

A maximum of 4 competitors will be allowed in the warm up arena at a time so please don’t arrive there earlier than 20 minutes prior to your test.

Competitors should only travel with one person to assist them, although children 18 and under can have two people. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

You may leave a stamped, addressed envelope with the secretary if you would like to have your sheet sent to you along with your rosette, if you are placed.
