The following is a transcript of the Weekly Update email sent on 9/12/16:

Please read all of this email. It contains important information about the Centre this week.

Cattle Grid

IMPORTANT FOR ALL STAFF AND BRISTOL HORSE RIDING RIDERS:

We are installing a cattle grid next week (12th December to 17th December). The drive will be out of action for 4 or 5 days. Weather permitting, we hope to have parking in the field, but please bring wellies and a torch and be prepared to walk across the front field to your lesson. We are really sorry for the inconvenience.

Christmas Opening Hours:

Bristol Horse Riding lessons finish on 22nd December 2016 and restart on Tuesday 3rd January 2017

Riding for the Disabled lessons finish this Saturday 10th December.

The first lessons of 2017 are on the afternoon of Tuesday 3rd January 2017.

If you are in a fortnightly group, the first Monday lesson is on the 9th January 2017 and the first Thursday lesson is 5th January.

Calendars

There are still a handful of calendars available in Reception for sale. Please come and give us £11.99!

Therapy Room

We’re thrilled to announce that as of Saturday 7th January, you can get a Holistic Massage or Reflexology treatment in our new therapy room on Saturdays, from Just You Holistics. Please phone Carol to book 07872 440787 or email justyouholistics@gmail.com She’s got special prices for January.

On that subject, does anyone have an IKEA Poang chair that they no longer need? We need to put a chair or so in the room and the Poang is just perfect! It’s this one : If you were thinking of getting rid of one soon, please think of us!

Volunteers:

We are very short of arena volunteers on the following days:

Wednesday

Thursday
Friday

There are new volunteers being recruited and trained, but until they are ready, can you spare a few hours?

Nativity:

The nativity was a lovely evening as ever and raised a total of £527.19. Thanks so much to our volunteers who put so much effort into making a really special festive event. It’s a great way to end the term, and congratulations to all our prizewinners. You can find out about them on our website from next week!

Upcoming Events:

The Town & Country Harriers Moorland Multi Terrain Challenge takes place at the Centre on 29th January 2017. It’s a popular event, including a 10k race for grownups, 1 &2 mile Junior races and an Under 8’s Dash. You can enter at www.tach.org.uk

Quiz Night is on Friday 27th January at Westbury-on-Trym Village Hall (next to the Mouse  on Waters Lane). It’s £5per person on the door and starts at 8pm sharp, so be there from 7.15. You can bring a team, or fly solo and we’ll find you a home. The bar will be well-stocked.

Thanks for listening.
