Winter Dressage Results 2016

The Avon Riding Centre’s Open Dressage Winter Series came to an end on Sunday 10th April, it was a dry, sunny but very windy day. Almost thirty competitors were due to take part and it was time to add up all the accumulated scores gained throughout the series to find out who were the winners of the three Class Trophies.

Class 1 The Avon Riding Centre Challenge Trophy was won by Gill Brown riding her own horse Bob with an outstanding score of 49 points, demonstrating her consistent results throughout the series, and in second place was our own Jodi Thomas riding Dandy with 26 points.

Class 2  The Moet Chandon Dressage Trophy was narrowly won by Caroline Stoner riding Our Tim on 31 points, with Louise Lennon second with 30 points (Louise rides a variety of horses therefore only her highest score counted each time she took part.

In Class 3 The Julie Lloyd Trophy, Louise Lennon triumphed with 23 points and Kim Lock came second with 15 points.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the competitors for their support of the Centre throughout the Series and congratulate all the Class winners on their success – well done.

None of these competitions could take place without the support of the team of volunteers who have given up their Sundays to help in the running of each event as well as of course the judges and their writers – thank you all very much you have raised a fantastic £1870.51!

I hope you will enjoy looking at the accompanying photos of our Class winners.
