RDA Dressage Day at Avon Riding Centre for the Disabled on Friday 2nd November 2018

Our next dressage competition has been organised for riders from Avon Riding Centre and any other RDA Groups within our Mid West Region that would like to participate.

There will be just four Classes this time with the emphasis on encouraging riders to perhaps participate in dressage for the first time, or improve their skills with some different tests. There will be no canter test this time, just a more difficult walk & trot test for more advanced riders.

Class 1 Introduction to Dressage Test 1 (2012) – walk on or off leading rein –

to be specified on entry please

Class 2 FEI Para Equestrian Grade 1 Test 2 (2002) – independently ridden

Class 3 Grade 2 Intro Test (2017) – walk & trot independently ridden

Class 4 Grade 3 Intermediate Test (2017) – walk & trot independently ridden

Where possible riders should wear a jacket, shirt & tie and light coloured jodhpurs, however if this is not possible they are welcome to wear their normal riding clothes and Group sweatshirts. Leaders should wear riding hats and gloves in line with the RDA policy at Regional & National competitions.

Early entry is strongly recommended as spaces are limited due to time constraints. Also for this reason riders will be expected to be ready and prepared to start their test on time.

We will be taking into account the number of entries for each Class in deciding whether to run all the Classes and the order may change according to the distances being travelled by outside competitors.

Entries can only be made from 9am on Tuesday 9th October and the entry fee will be £10 per Class. No entries will be accepted before this date or without payment at the time of booking.

Please include the rider’s full name and that of their horse or pony when entering.

It is possible to pay by credit card over the phone by contacting our receptionist Claire

on 0117 9590266.

Hot food, drinks, snacks & cakes will be available on the day.

All riders from Avon Riding Centre should discuss their entry with their coach first and get help in deciding which Class would be best to enter.

A limited number of private lessons will be available during the Easter holiday at a cost of £19 for half an hour. However you will be able to practice for the competition within your weekly lessons as well.
